In reply to Olivia. Glad you’re loving the recipe! Try placing the dough seam side down in the Dutch oven. That helps keep the cinnamon sugar inside so it bakes into the loaf instead of leaking and burning on the bottom. You can also add a small piece of parchment under the dough for extra insurance.

I adore this recipe, but have a question! Do you recommend putting it “seam side up” into the Dutch oven? I keep struggling with the sugar escaping and burning at the bottom of the Dutch oven 🙂

I never leave reviews on recipes, but I felt I had to. This is one of the best desserts I’ve ever made. I made it for Friendsgiving and it was gone so quickly. It’s so sweet and moist and absolutely delicious. Make this cake! Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
