That makes me so happy to hear! Winning over boxed mac and cheese lovers is the ultimate compliment!

This was a family winner. Much to my confusion and horror, my two older teens have always preferred boxed mac and cheese over baked – until this recipe. Your recipe is perfect for adults and kids alike!

Absolutely, you can make it in any pot, then transfer to a baking dish; baking time stays about the same, just keep an eye on that bubbly, golden top!

I get my provolone at the Italian market, they sell it in big chunks. Jo’s little kitchen is looking good, we’re still organizing things. 🙂

I also have never seen provolone sold in chunks but whenever I want some I just go to the deli and have them cut me a hunk – works every time. Hope all’s well at the new house and “Jo’s little kitchen”.

Lovely dish with just the right proportions. I tend to use up all of my leftover cheeses when I make this, so had a mishmash of extra sharp cheddar, Monterey jack, emmenthal, gruyere, and I grated up a bit of parmesan and asiago. I add fresh buttered breadcrumbs on top. Very delicious. I omit bacon, but my brother loves bacon in his so I gave him some chopped on the side to add. Keeping everyone happy!
